Tula Community Fund

The original patrons of the Tula Foundation have donated $3 million to endow a new donor advised fund at the Vancouver Foundation, which will be known as the Tula Community Fund.

From Wikipedia: The Vancouver Foundation is Canada's largest community foundation. It was established in 1943 as a community endowment fund to benefit the lives of British Columbians. Today, it manages about $800 million in endowment funds, and in 2006, distributed about $40 million to communities. Besides managing funds for individual donors, agenices and corporations, it also works with community advisors to select and distribute grants in the fields of: arts and culture; animal welfare; children, youth and families; education; environment; health and social development; health and medical research; and youth leadership

The Tula Community Fund will support community-based projects in any part of British Columbia. Establishing a donor advised gives us access to the Vancouver Foundation’s expertise in this area. We meet regularly with the staff of the Vancouver Foundation to review and approve grants to BC charities in our fields of interest. Approximately $150,000 will be disbursed from the Fund annually. Applications for funding should be submitted to the Vancouver Foundation, not to the Tula Foundation directly.
